Dacia London West, the brand’s new flagship UK retailer, has been officially opened by Laura Popescu, the Ambassador of Romania to the United Kingdom, the Mayor of Hounslow, Karen Smith and Councillor for Osterley and Spring Grove Ward, Tony Louki.
All declared Dacia UK’s latest and most impressive facility open for business at a special ribbon-cutting ceremony, with the launch event also being attended by senior Dacia representatives and members of the local community. The site accommodates Dacia and Renault brands, both part of the Renault Group.
The celebrations were made even more memorable as the new retailer played host to the UK public debut of the All-New Dacia Spring, which at only £14,995 on-the-road is the UK’s most affordable new electric car.
The showroom includes ample room to display a version of every Dacia model, while many of the fittings and fixtures are made from recycled materials. These include sofa coverings produced from plastic bottles, rugs woven from nylon waste and old carpets, and panel stands constructed from recycled tyres.
London West is also partly powered by solar energy. The sizeable roof of the all-new, 3,078 sq metre building incorporates 28 solar panels.
